From Paul · An introduction

Welcome to the disappeared conversation.

You're already in the conversation about sex and intimacy most hetero men never get invited to.

The rest of Paul's note

Hi. Paul here. After twenty-five years in personal transformation, I've come to believe the deepest work on sex and intimacy for the heterosexual man has been hiding in plain sight. Most of us were waved through the cauldron — mindfulness, yoga, plant medicine, therapy. All gold. None of them reached the sexual self with the same precision.

Crazy Sexy Wisdom was my attempt to put a field manual in your hands. This app is an attempt to make that manual livable — something you carry into next Tuesday, not something that stays on the bedside table.

It's a wireframe. A prototype. Treat it like sketch paper.

How it works

Four layers. Move between them whenever you like — tap any one to read more.

LAYER 1

Your lens

Say where you're standing. Every principle rewrites itself to meet you there.

Partnered, single, in crisis, divorced, post-affair, the awareness veteran, or the woman reading alongside the man in her life. Pick one — and change it whenever your situation shifts.

LAYER 2

The eight Principles

The rules to live by. They build on each other, so start at #1.

Each one follows the same shape: the pretzel logic you've been carrying, the Crazy Sexy Wisdom logic on offer, a paragraph written for your lens, and a Learning Lab of four small experiments to run in your actual life.

LAYER 3

The Playbook

The principles are what to understand. This is what to actually do.

From SEXED: three practice projects working outward then inward — the world you sexualise without noticing, your own energy and emotion, then the couple space. Some of it is explicit, and the heavier practices wait a fortnight unless you tell the app you have someone to take them to.

LAYER 4

The daily tools

None of them are tests. They're mirrors.

A spectrum slider for where you actually lived today. A tap-counter for catching the 200-millisecond tune-in as it happens. A P/H temperature reading. A one-line pillow-talk journal. A glossary of the new vocabulary.

No points, nothing to optimise. What the app tracks is your SINQ — the Sexual INtimacy Quotient from SEXED — and that is a reading you take, not a score you earn.

Three quick examples

Synthesized — but the patterns are real. The same app, three different lives.

D
Daniel, 52 · Long-Partnered lens

FP#1 names the script he and his wife have been re-running for fifteen years. He doesn't do a single quest — he just sits with it.

Tuesday evening Daniel reads FP#1 (Social Ecology) and the lens paragraph lands. He sits with the Sun phase / Moon phase distinction. Wednesday at work, an attractive colleague walks past; he taps the 200-ms litmus.

By Sunday he's tapped seven times — not to feel guilty, but to see. He logs his P/H temperature most evenings. His first journal entry reads: "I think we've been moon-phase for nine years and I assumed that was the relationship." That single sentence becomes the conversation he and his wife have on Sunday morning.

A
Anna, 41 · Companion lens

Her husband is reading the book; she opens the app to see what he's up to. She never takes a SINQ reading — and it still does its job.

Most of the principles already make sense to her — but the glossary chips give her vocabulary she didn't have. She tries the phrase intoxicated entitlement in one conversation. He notices.

Two weeks later they do the No-goal sex practice together. That measure is not for her, and that's fine. The app is doing its job the moment it gives her a sentence she's been waiting for.

M
Marcus, 38 · Awareness Veteran lens

Five years of yoga, two ayahuasca journeys. He skims the opening principles, then lands hard on FP#4 and FP#7.

FP#4 is the six emotional themes; FP#7 is Naive Sexualism & the tuning fork. He does the Letter to the 14-year-old quest in one sitting and Map Your Split the next day.

Then he doesn't open the app for ten days. That's fine — nothing here was counting. When he comes back, the work has already moved.

Before you begin

The destination is not a fixed point — it's an orbit.

No thirty-day programme, no leaderboard. A quest a week, or a quest a month. If the app irritates you, close it. If it helps, come back.

Somebody sent you this and you didn't ask for it? — six screens, then you can decide.

A field manual, not a self-help hack.

The dots behind this text drift, and every so often one takes the whole field for about two hundred milliseconds. That is not decoration.

The Playbook

A plan to reduce your own sense of being played by your own relentless biology. Three practice projects — the world, yourself, the two of you. A study with a sample size of one.

The Playbook

From SEXED. Three practice projects — the world, yourself, the two of you. Not a book about getting laid; close to its opposite.

“In short, this is a study — your own study, with the sample size of one. You.”

Eight screens · about four minutes

The arc of it.

Three hormones and five stages, in the order they actually arrive. One screen at a time — you can stop anywhere and pick it up later.

Couples

Where the relationship is, on its own clock. Five stages, and one thing that isn't a stage.
One phone · both of you · about ten minutes

Together

You each answer the same eight questions without seeing the other's. Then the app puts both on one chart. Nothing leaves this phone.
